So I've got an idea for a new story. This guy...demon (for the time being anyway...I donno) from a 'parallel' world has to choose a mate. He can have anyone he wants, he's stuck with her for the rest of his life, and it can be from either world.
He chooses a girl from our world, and tries to woo her by getting a job at her place of work. Said guy then spends the majority of his time trying to get her to 'like/love' him, soon runs out of patience and takes her back to their world.....it's an idea in progress really. Haven't come up with a title, but here's a rough beginning;
The two men stood in the nearly empty parking lot of McDonalds, watching two of the building's employees converse against the brunette female's blue Honda Civic. Though it was after midnight and the place had closed, the two workers didn't appear to notice the two men.
That would be due to the fact that the men were not really there at all. They watched what went on silently in their own world--literally--not once in the next half hour breaking the silence.
Only after the blond guy waved to the girl and walked off to start his car, and the woman threw her keys up once before catching them and getting into her own car, did they speak. "She's the one," announced the younger man, his forest green eyes following the girl's car out of the parking lot. "She's definitely the one."
"A little young don't you think? She didn't seem all that talkative, or that smart if you want to know the truth," replied his companion.
"She's eighteen, she'll be nineteen in January. All A's in high school, and she seems to be passing college courses just as easily. She's the one."
"So what are you going to do?"
The younger man smiled confidentally, "I'm going to make her want me."
